Since 2000, Ellen Coup has been beautifying buildings and spaces with her murals painted using Resene paints. Her work spans a range of sites and sizes, from exterior public project several hundreds if square metres in area to interior private artworks under 10 square metres. She has worked closely with local schools both facilitating projects solely displaying children’s art, such as at Newtown School, and producing art that incorporates elements of children’s art, such as at Otari and Khandallah Schools. As murals are invariably commissioned artworks, Ellen utilises a consultation and design process enabling the client to have their concepts and aspirations for the artwork explored.
