Catherine Jurgens

Catherine Jurgens first began exhibiting her work at age 18 and has since been selling her paintings in galleries and design stores throughout New Zealand during both her teaching and television careers in Auckland. She has also travelled frequently to the UK, Europe and Australia.

Catherine’s work is best known for its beautiful, vibrant colours and brushstrokes with a focus on simplistic, contemporary designs. Catherine uses high quality canvases, impastos and environmentally friendly paints.

Catherine lives with her partner in Napier and sells her work from her website and studio.

She has always used Resene paints and finds “the colours and names of the testpot colours are always so inspiring!” Catherine also uses Resene paints with children and special projects that she does with her school children.
