From the Resene News – issue 1/2004 Banner bright - Disabilities Resources Trust
Each banner was individually handpainted using a mix of Resene premium paints and Resene Lumbersider satin acrylic testpots in a wide array of colours by a designated group to promote awareness and recognition of the services they provide within the community. On completion an Art Exhibition was held outside the Whakatane Museum during Disability Pride week to further promote the groups to the wider community before each banner was immortalised in the annual Disabilities Resource Centre Calendar. A unique colourful way to promote essential community services, the banners enabled all disability assistance groups to let their services shine bright.
