When Riverview Tavern in Townsville came up for a refurbishment and repaint inside and out, the owners were keen to try a new look to gain attention and draw in customers. With this in mind, the entrance area became the focal point for a bold Resene pink feature (Resene Smitten – fuchsia pink), complemented by tonally arranged grey stripes of Resene Eighth Pravda (winter beige), Resene Half Pravda (grey brown), Resene Triple Pravda (deep stone brown)). The exterior cement render is finished in Environmental Choice approved Resene Lumbersider low sheen waterborne paint tinted to Resene Half Rakaia (shingle taupe) and Resene Hi-Glo waterborne gloss paint.

To complement the bold exterior, the interior is resplendent in a range of favourite hues tinted into Environmental Choice approved Resene Lumbersider waterborne low sheen and Resene SpaceCote Low Sheen waterborne enamel. The main colour throughout the dining room and gaming room is Resene Quarter Craigieburn (blanched beige) with Resene Enamacryl Metallic Light Year (grape red metallic) on the recessed ceiling. The sports bar is warmed with the soft Resene Fantail (beige) and bistro feature walls are bright and bold in Resene Limerick (Irish green) and Resene Carpe Diem (sunshine orange). Inside also features the clever use of Resene Write-on Wall Paint to make the most of the space. Resene Write-on Wall Paint is used for the specials of the day board so that they can be promoted to customers quickly and professionally. All that is needed is a quick rub of a lint free cloth and a whiteboard marker and the specials can be updated with the minimum of fuss, keeping the menu and options fresh for their customers.
