Resene colour Bingo is a vivid green with a touch of rich blue in it. Resene Bingo is sharp, striking and bold. I was inspired by this given colour by looking at the Resene testpot of paint and silk while instantly the thought of nature and being outside in the garden raised to my attention. While researching nature and gardens I came across structure and sharp lines. I found a lot of inspiration off brick, leaves, walls and patterns. I’m drawn to the inspiration more personally as well because I like to keep my work sharp and clean and to show emotion.

My design is a two piece garment outfit including a simple close fitting silhouette slip dress while the middle front panel is made up of many sharp smaller panels with a pleating design on some of the panels. This is all from the sharp and striking lines I found while researching. Over top of the slip dress I have a wide boxed kimono. The front of the kimono is cut away at the hem to compliment the dress underneath. The back of the Kimono has the same featured panel detailing with a wide opening at the bottom of the panelling.

I’ve taken the textures from nature’s garden and structure/sharp lines to compliment the Resene colour Bingo and enhance my designs features.
